Nightlight Nursery

This set has actually been cancelled, which is quite unfortunate because I really liked this set.  It was actually the second set we received.  (Random fun fact: I've noticed on eBay that there is a blue counterpart for this set which is pretty cool.  If anyone can confirm this with a catalog or packaging, please reach out.  I'm really curious about it.)  Our parents bought it for us after they saw how much we liked our first set.

I think the best way to review this set is a breakdown of its contents, because this set is more so made up of little parts and themes.  Here's a photo of all the different sections so you can see just how many there are individually, but how they blend together as one set too.  Now, this review is going to be particularly long because of all the parts, and how much I like and enjoy this set.

#1: The actual crib and nightlight nursery itself is pretty cool with a working nightlight feature, and a bonus yellow blanket.  The doors can open and close (if you compare the crib photo with the photo above you can see the difference).  We also included a picture of Hopper for a size comparison roughly.

#2: A set of two hangers.  They do fit through baby clothes nicely (not the same for children and adult clothes though).  Plus, the colors do match the crib.

#3: A rocking horse that's simple but really works.  It's designed to perfectly fit a baby in a sitting position.  We included a photo of Honey riding it as a perfect example, too.

#3: A nursery set wouldn't be complete without a teddy bear and a comfortable place for him.  The detailing on it is also remarkable with a red scarf added on.  The pink chair is once more the same shade as the hangers and crib.

#4: Meal set consists of a fork, a spoon, a cup, a meal, a chair, and a table.  The meal includes quite a few things: some mini sandwiches, a bowl of corn soup, a split orange, and a ball of simple flour noodles.  The cup is also able to fit in babies' mouths, as seen in the extra photo.

#5: This piece is a little less durable as the others, as it is a folded paper book.  However, the tiny text is so cute! You can see that the story is about a butterfly in the fields.

So overall, I really like this set.  However, it is not up for sale anymore.  If you like finding out about historical Calico Critters sets, be on the lookout for more cancelled set reviews!
