Triple Baby Bunk Beds

We actually received these bunk beds not to long ago on May 21, 2020. It was a birthday gift for Ali. Since this is a Calico Critters set, there wasn't an item number on the catalog. This set is fairly old and it was even on some of the oldest catalogs (of which we kept). Here is what it looks like on the new and old catalogs:

The image on the left is the older image of the Triple Bunk Beds. The image on the right is the newer catalog image. Sorry about the blurriness. As you can see this is an older set.

There are 11 pieces in this set. Either made of cloth or plastic. This is the contents:

As shown, each bed has a different theme, but they all seem to be in the same set. This is another great thing about this brand, the consistency. The color of each matress matches each blanket. The white portion of the blanket is a seperate softer cloth. Sadly, there weren't any pillows, instead the matress has a sewed up portion representing a pillow.

The packaging of this set is also very nice. The front of the box shows, 2 babies already in bed and one more waving hello. It's a very warming and adorable image. Sorry about the lighting and the glare, I'll try to retake this image soon.

On one of the box's side it displays how the beds can be stacked. It is very cute and the babies are lying in bed, except for the bottom example. We chose the stacked, non pyramid way to save space. I would definitely recommend the creative pyramid way if you have the room.

Below are the three different ways these bunk beds can be displayed:

I'm not sure where the ladder goes for the pyramid design though. These photos show each bed has a special theme and color. It's very detail oriented and it looks very real.

Time to show an individual bed and the details. First this is the bed tucked in properly without a critter. The blanket is long, so the edges are tucked in under the matress. The sewed pillow portion is not covered by the soft blanket. As shown there are four pegs on each corner. This is how the beds are stacked. On the bottom of the pegs are holes that fit well with the pegs.

Another positive about Calico Critters is the consistency betweeen sets. We own larger bunk beds for critter children. Those larger beds came in the Children Bedroom Set. The pegs and holes for both beds and compatible. If it wasn't for the size diffrences this would be another bed to stack.

Now, Ginni Golightly will be (one of) our models for this review. Here she is sitting on her yellow duck themed bed. She sits perfectly without sitting on the blanket:

Now here's Ginni sleeping. Since Ginni is in a sitting pose the blanket doesn't balance well. On the right picture it's easier to see.

The bed is more suitable for babies in the crawling or standing pose, but the sitting will also work. Here is Hopper demonstrating:

Here's some photos comparing bunk beds for the babies and bunk beds for children:

This was definitely a long review. All in all, this set is amazing and has those small, cute detials Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters is famous for. Definitely recommended for your cute critters!
