The Hopscotch Rabbit family was getting used to their Doughty Chiffon Dog guests. Karen and David helped out with the babies and made regular phone calls to their parents. Honey loved the way Karen gently brushed her soft fur clean. Harlin had gone to town a few weeks ago to purchase a telephone for the second floor (where the kids all slept), so that Karen and David could call their parents frequently.
Karen and David would often compliment Heidi’s cooking, especially her baked squash and biscuits.
The babies were also quite fond of the guests. Karen and David were always especially gentle when helping to bath them, and kept a steady hand on their bottles.
Heidi Choch decided to suggest more guests. She remembered her baby niece, Breeze Chocolate Rabbit. Breeze was born and lived in Sylvanian Village. She remembered her sister, Teri Choch, talking about how Breeze was a sophisticated little rabbit who wore a fancy yellow dress with frills. She took manners lessons, and was skilled at the piano.
Coincidentally, the phone connected rang and Heidi picked up.
“Hello, is this my sister, Heidi?” a voice that undeniably was Teri's said.
“Teri!”
“Heidi!”
“So what’s going on, big sister?” Heidi asked.
“Just something to ask of you,” Teri said in her thick Sylvanian accent.
“Of course!”
“You remember Breeze, don’t you?”
“Of course. That little bundle of giggles is adorable!”
“Thank you, thank you. I was wondering if she could stay with you for a bit. I want to give her some exposure to a countryside setting.”
The small section of grassy land that Heidi lived at was far from the town square of Cloverleaf Corners. It was peaceful, and a rare case. Most critters in Cloverleaf Corners lived close to town square with bustling lives and crowds. The Hopscotch Rabbit Family had settled here for the views and peace. Most critters living in Sylvanian Village lived a happening life with shops, school, and the beach being the only nature weekend getaway.
“Of course! Harlin and I would love to have her!”
“Thank you! I’ll be dropping her off through the sky ride right by your house tomorrow.”
Everyone was excited, especially Honey and Hopper. They were in a pleasant mood and organized their toys for their new playmate’s arrival.
Harlin even thought of buying a mini baby piano for Breeze as a welcoming present, as her own at home would be too big to move.
When Breeze came, she received a bunch of attention. Heidi served tart cake, and Breeze opened her welcoming present with much joy.
That night, everyone gathered in the living room with coffee and listened to Breeze’s soft and gentle melody.
They all knew they would all enjoy their new guest.
