It was a normal day for the Hopscotch Rabbit Family in their Deluxe Village House. Heidi Choch Rabbit (the Hopscotch Rabbit mother) was in the Country Kitchen cutting carrots for carrot soup.
Harlin Hopscotch Rabbit was enjoying a nice cup of coffee while watching his favorite gardening channel in the Deluxe Living Room on his Deluxe TV.
Their children, Bell and Skip, were playing with their baby brother, Hopper, and baby sister, Honey, upstairs.
The phone next to one of the plush green armchairs by the window rang. Harlin yelled,”I’ll get it,” and got up from the matching couch.
“Hello?” he asked curiously.
“Hello,” the voice over the phone replied.
“Who is this?” Harlin asked.
“It’s Delia Doughty Chiffon Dog. Is this the Deluxe Village House of the Hopscotch Rabbit Family?”
“Yes, why?”
“I am an old friend of Heidi’s. We were pen pals in school.”
“Oh. Well, what’s the favor?”
“My husband, Gordon Doughty Chiffon Dog, and I want to open up a burger wagon. We will be preparing for a long time, and I want our son, David, and our daughter, Karen, to be in an environment with parent figures. We will, of course, be sending money to you through town center. We will call up the store owners and make sure you have some credit there.”
“Of course! No problem!”
“Good, we will be flying them through the sky ride from Sylvanian Village to Cloverleaf Corners tomorrow. They’ll be dropped off at town square. Could you pick them up from there?”
“Yes, of course,” Harlin replied. The Deluxe Village House was far from town square, but he knew he could trust his Cherry Cruiser to get him there.
“Thank you.”
Just as Harlin was hanging up the phone, Heidi came over to the Deluxe Living Room.
“What is it?” she asked.
Harlin, like always, told her and the kids everything. Everyone was very excited to greet the Doughty Chiffon Dog children. Heidi made a big fuss with cleaning, while the children filled with excitement on new playmates.
