Rearranging

It was a cold Friday morning and Harlin was eating his breakfast. “Teri please be careful,” warned Heidi.

Teri nodded, “Stop worrying! I’ll be fine. I’m just going to deliver my VERY TERI and then I’ll be back.”

The truth was Teri wasn’t the best driver. When she lived in Sylvania Teri would always just take the fine red tram to wherever she wanted to go. Teri looked down at her little Freya. Freya was snoring softly on one of the Seven Seater seats that could fold out and become a matress. Since the Tuxedo Cats rented the Lakeside Lodge, Teri lived with her sister and she and Freya slept on the mattress together.

Teri yells, “Bye sis!”

Teri slams the door hard and causes Freya to awake. “Morning!” she yawned.

Harlin smiles, “Good morning, Freya. Would you like to eat breakfast with me?”

Freya happily nods and sits down for some pound cake. Heidi helps Harlin pack up the mattress back into the car and Harlin heads to work at the Toy Shop. “Freya, could you please go bring this baby plate of food up to the nursery?”

Freya nods, “Of course, Aunt Heidi.”

Freya starts ascending up the stairs and ladders until she reaches the nursery.

The third floor was split to two rooms. A small room that had the babies’ large cradle and a few baby books. The larger main bedroom wat to the left and it had the Semi-Double Bed for Harlin and Heidi and many of the babies’ toys.

An idea flicked inside Freya’s head. What if she moved the cradle and the Semi-Double Bed’s places. The babies would have a larger space without having to go down that one stair and Harlin and Heidi could have a private space. Freya raced downstairs to tell Aunt Heidi her brilliant idea. "Don't you think it's wonderful?" Freya exclaimed.

Heidi agreed, "I like your idea. Your organization skills are terrific. We should wait for Teri or Harlin to come back to help with the lifting first.

Freya said, "Of course."

Teri arrives minutes later. Everyone has already woken up. “Aunt Teri!” greeted Skip, Bellia and Bell, who had been watching TV.

The three siblings were so happy to be together again, that they did everything they could with each other. “Hello!” smiled Teri.

Freya said joyously, “Hey mom! How was driving to town?”

“It was fine. I delivered it to William Cinnamon, the newspaper runner, and then I immediately drove home,” informed Teri.

Freya replied, “Aunt Heidi and I need some help.”

“Well, what is it?” questioned Teri.

“Rearranging the third floor. Freya has an excellent plan, oh Teri! It’s wonderful!” chimed in Heidi.

Teri agreed and the three of them headed upstairs. “I don’t think it will work,” Teri said, nervously, “The hallway is too narrow to move the furniture.”

Heidi suggested, “What if we unlock the white gate and slip the crib through. Then we’ll move the bed and move the crib to the new spot?”

Teri commented, “We’ll definitely need more adults to help then. When is Natalie and Mason off from work?”

Mason and his wife had used the rented Cherry Cruiser to drive off to Town. Natalie taught ballet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with her daughters. While Mason was having meetings with Mayor Cuddlebear. Ginni and Olive just tagged along with whoever they wanted. “3 in the afternoon, I believe,” Heidi informed, “Harlin is back at 4.”

Freya nods, “Alright, we’ll wait till 4.”

When 4 came, Freya frantically called the Tuxedos and asked them to come over to help. Heidi and Teri quickly informed Harlin with Freya’s rearranging plans. Once the Tuxedo Cat couple arrived they worked carefully with precision.

“Careful, I’m pushing it down now,” warned Teri to Natalie, Harlin and Mason, who were just below the third floor.

“We caught it already! Start moving the crib!” yelled Mason.

Teri and Heidi immediately pushed the Semi Double Bed to the Nightlight Nursery crib's former position. Next the three adults from below unassembled the crib. They carried up all the parts to the third floor and rebuilt it in the new position. “Freya, we are finished! Come up and see your work!” screamed Heidi.

Freya rushed upstairs and happily said, “It’s just like what I dreamed. It’s exactly how we had it when we did the Chocolockes play!”

"I like this look a lot! Way better for the babies!" complimented Harlin.

Teri boasted, "See! My Freya is so good at arranging things!"

Heidi exclaimed, "It's absolutely wonderful! Thanks Freya."

Patter, patter! Suddenly it starts raining. Honey climbs herself up to the third floor and gasps. "Wow, it so nice!" she exclaims in her cute baby voice.

The adults smile at her. Honey asks, "Mommy, can I play on seesaw today?"

Heidi bites her lower lip, "I'm sorry. It's starting to rain. It will be wet at the balcony."

Another lightbulb flickers in Freya's head, "How about we move the seesaw inside. There's plenty of space now."

"Perfect!" agrees Mason, "I will go get it."

As soon as it's brought inside Honey jumps on and Hopper joins her.

Freya proudly beams at her work. One day I want to be a home designer, Freya thinks to herself.
