VERY TERI: Beating the Heat

The heat wave passed and the Cloverleaf Countryside was once again in warm weather. Homes had quieted down and everyone resumed their daily lives.

Teri Choch was at the balcony reading the Calico Times and getting ready for her next VERY TERI post.

Apparently, she had gained so much popularity that some readers even called her with suggestions for the next post. As Teri often stated, “I have an opinion for everything!”

One particular fan was, Natalie Charcoal, one of the residents at the Cloverleaf Countryside. She had borrowed Heidi’s telephone and called Teri yesterday afternoon. “Hello, this is Teri Choch speaking,” Teri answered that afternoon.

Natalie said, “Hi Teri, it’s Natalie and I have a question for you to write about!”

“You do know you could have just told me in person. You’re my neighbor!” Teri pointed out.

“Yes, yes, I know, but it would not be the same,” Natalie claimed with her usual enthusiasm.

Teri couldn’t help but smile, she was happy she had such a faithful fan like Natalie. “So what’s your suggestion?” she asked.

“Well, as you know we had a heat wave about a few days ago. I’d like some VERY TERI advice on how to stay cool and VERY TERI during the horrid heat,” explained the Tuxedo Cat mother.

Teri agreed, “Of course, everyone should learn the VERY TERI ways! Thank you.”

So, the following morning Teri got writing. Freya noticed her mother and asked if she could join and Teri thought it was a VERY TERI idea to get a young child’s view point.

The mother daughter duo sighed happily, yet another joint post was finished. “Would you like to take a ‘VERY TERI bath of coolness’?” Teri asked her daughter.

Freya nodded and folded up her dress a little bit, while her mother prepared some lemonade. “I wanna join too!” called Breeze, who had just awoken from her afternoon nap.

Freya picks up Breeze and enter into the cold water filled tub. Teri yelled, “Two lemonades coming right up!”

Breeze squealed and Freya giggled. Despite the name being weird, it did feel good to enter a “VERY TERI bath of coolness”.
