VERY TERI: Cherry Cruiser

Teri Choch woke up to a chilly morning, and the big window in her Lakeside Lodge wasn’t helping.

This certaining was a turn of weather events, the past few days had been sunny and she was sure spring would come soon. Then she decided to give her sister, Heidi, a call. Teri didn’t have much to do today and a call would be nice.

“Good morning, Heidi Choch Rabbit speaking,” answered Teri’s sister.

“Hey Heidi! The weather has turned colder,” noted Teri.

“I know! I’m already thinking of all the soups I’ll have to make.”

“I think I’m gonna go to town and buy some soup or finger foods. Or fresh from the oven pizza. I can even drop my VERY TERI post off.”

“Yum, save a slice for me,” giggled Heidi.

Heidi bid her sister goodbye over the phone and Teri could not help but appreciate Heidi. Even before her move to the Cloverleaf Countryside, the sisters remained close. They had their occasional spats over city and country life and whatnot, but they were strongly bonded.

Outside was Teri’s Cherry Cruiser, one of the very first gifts she had received at the countryside. Harlin and Heidi had gifted her this car to help her get around. It was a strong memory of Teri’s, the surprise, joy and excitement when she first saw it. In Sylvania, Teri took the tram around Town. It felt nice to have the liberty of getting out and about without having a constricting tram schedule. If you missed the route you would have to wait another 30 minutes!

Suddenly, an idea came to Teri. It was still early, but Teri didn’t care. Immediately, she grabbed her pencil and some MEMO cards and sat inside her Cherry Cruiser. This would be her next VERY TERI idea. What better than her Cherry Cruiser! She loved that car dearly and it was about time it had gotten its VERY TERI debut.

It dawned on Teri, that she should do something nice to Heidi. But what could I possibly do? wondered Teri. Heidi was an amazing cook, housewife, friend and family member. Her talents never ceased. Teri was always amazed by how her younger sister could get so much done within a day and still have time for ladies afternoon tea and television.

Unable to do much, Teri chose to buy something nice for Heidi. She would organize a gift box full of treats! No critter could ever resist. After a day of shopping, the box was complete. Inside were macarons, chocolates, latest magazines and a brand new jar of tea powder! Proudly, Teri placed her gift box on the table.

When the next day came, rained poured down from the dark blue sky. Teri let out a groan, the weather seemed horrible. However, she could still drive to the Deluxe Village House to deliver the box. "Freya, I'm going out for a bit! Be good when I'm away!" called Teri before she put the box in the passenger seat.

Freya looked on from the door and waved to her mother. "Be safe and drive carefully," she warned.

When Teri reached the door, she quickly ran over to take cover underneath the patio. Wet clothes is not VERY TERI, she thought to herself. Heidi answered the door and was very surprised to see her sister in the cold rain. "Heidi! There you are!" Teri said, "I got this gift box for you. I just wanted to thank you for everything you've done for me."

Heidi replied, "Thank you so much, Teri. This is quite the surprise. Would you like to come in?"

"No thank you, sis, I have to get home to Freya, Breeze and Kabe. But first, I need to buy some bread."

Teri walked over next door to the Red Roof Raspberry Home. Home of the Tuxedo Cats and the location for the Flour to Dough bakery. Unsurprisingly, there was not any bread on the stands. Knock knock!

Mason rushed to answer the door, only to find Teri underneath the red awning.

"Hello Teri," he greeted, "I'm selling bread indoors today if that is what you want."

Teri responded happily, "Yes, I'll take three small croissants and one medium baguette."

Pretty soon, Teri came home and made dinner. Happily she looked out the window. Although it was still raining, Teri would not trade this for the world.
