The cold autumn days seemed to keep Teri in her house more and more. Her usual routine of buying bread from Flour to Dough was broken, the cold was something Teri just couldn’t bear. She sighed to herself, how did one relax at home. Teri grabbed her pencil and paper and decided her next prompt for her daily article. Self care! She beckoned her children into the Cherry Cruiser before driving off to her sister’s large house. Over there, resided many kids and babies that could give her valuable information. “Hello!” Heidi said when her sister entered.
Teri sat down at the green sofa and Bell served her hot carrot tea.
“I’m going to write an article about self care!” she claimed, “So, I’ll need a few suggestions. 2 babies and 1 child, first come first serve!”
Karen came first, book in paw. “Ooo, ooo, I have a suggestion! Cozying up with a book and warm sugar biscuit is always so relaxing! A blanket would be nice too!”
“Hmmm, that does sound good.”
She adds, “Oh, and the fireplace has to be on, it keeps you warm and toasty. Of course, it’s always better to have your favorite book, even rereading it is most relaxing!”
Teri nodded, Karen had a strong point. Books were a gateway to an imaginative world for children and adults. Even babies could find themselves lost in their simple yet attractive picture books. Plus, a warm fireplace and tasty biscuit never hurt. Come to think of it, the fireplace was on right now!
Satisfied, she called upon the next 2 babies, Honey and Hopper Hopscotch. “Bubble bath!” both squealed before adding, “With extra bubble, Ballerina Bunny and Sharko!”
Bubble baths are popular, thought Teri, I remember Breeze and Kabe love them too. There has to be a just right temperature though.
Honey and Hopper grew more and more excited about their idea being shared and insisted that their aunt come see it for herself. Bell led them up to the tub.
Next, she turned on the water and started mixing bubble bath formula in. With gentle care, Bell and Teri unclothed the twins before placing them into the warm, welcoming tub. Honey giggled as the bathtub toys are placed down, while her twin brother is already busy playing.
“See! Perfect!” Hopper coos as he splats a bubble right in front of his auntie.
After staying for some staying for some brunch with Heidi, Teri walked on over to the Tuxedo Cats’ house. Since she was already here, she may as well buy some bread and get an interview. “Freya,” Teri said, “Pick 4 breads while I go talk to Mason, okay?”
Freya cheerfully smiles and starts using the gray tongs to get her favorite type of bread, animal head buns. The little rabbit girl chooses, a panda, a dog, a bunny and a bear.
“Hello Mason,” Teri said with a smile, “I have a question for you. It’s for my VERY TERI.”
Mason turned his head around, he had just closed the brick oven door. Inside were three mini croissants. “Yes?” he inquired.
“Well, I’m doing a post about self care and I’d like to know how you relax at home?”
Mason gave it a though before saying, “I like to dance with Natalie. Any style is great, though I prefer ballet.”
“Excellent! I love seeing you two dance, thank you, Mason!”
Later in the day, Teri sat in her hot tub, her skirt folded up and pencil in paw. Teri’s favorite form of relaxation was sitting in her hot tub.
No matter the weather, Teri loved her hot tub. Freya was inside, teaching her younger siblings how to count to 100 when Teri was writing her VERY TERI.
The paper came out on time, and it was a success. Housewives, children, hardworking fathers all found these 3 tips a major help. Several comments were, “I never knew reading was such an enjoyable matter!” or “My children can keep themselves busy with a bubble bath while I run errands” or “Just signed up ford break dancing, check out my sweet moves!”
Natalie was delighted to see that her very own husband made it onto the paper with a special thanks from Teri Choch! VERY TERI: Self Care surely became a fan favorite when there wasn’t anything to do at home.
